Every action, detail, and statement made by Donald Trump is closely examined.
Astute social media users recently saw a fresh image of Trump entering the White House, sparking a flurry of internet conspiracy theories.
There have been many spectacular events in Donald Trump’s life, but the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania in 2024 sticks out as one of the most startling.
Trump was running for reelection in Butler at the time, hoping to defeat Kamala Harris. However, when gunfire broke out from a neighbouring rooftop, his rally abruptly came to a stop.
Thomas Matthew Crook, 20, opened fire with an AR-15, firing eight rounds from a distance of around 400 feet. Many people believe that Trump’s survival of the attack is a miracle, as one bullet entered his upper right ear.

For months before to the attack, Crooks, a quiet engineering student on the dean’s list, had been accumulating explosives. Crooks was immediately shot and killed by a U.S. Secret Service agent shortly after the incident.
Trump was not seriously hurt, other from the ear problem, and he has now fully recovered. He later claimed that his life was saved by a big graphic showing immigration numbers.
Just before the first shot was fired, he turned his head to the right, toward the chart, and pointed at it. This movement may have narrowed the profile of his skull from the shooter’s angle, potentially preventing a direct hit to his head. Reflecting on the moment, Trump said, “If I hadn’t pointed at that chart and turned my head to look at it, that bullet would have hit me right in the head.”
Two audience members were tragically seriously wounded by two additional bullets, and Corey Comperatore, a guy at the site, was killed by a third bullet.
Trump frequently wore a white bandage over his wounded ear in the weeks after the attack. During his presidential campaign, several of his followers even wore similar bandages as a sign of unity.
With the exception of the ear injuries, Trump recovered completely, but the incident led to a deluge of conspiracy theories on the internet.
To garner sympathy and strengthen his campaign, some have asserted that the attack was staged or exaggerated. Others fuelled larger narratives of political intrigue and sinister plans by claiming that secret groups were responsible for the shooting. These ideas, which reflect the profound differences and mistrust in the current political environment, persist in circulation despite official findings and proof.
Quickly noticed the ear
Furthermore, a recent image made public by the White House on June 21 has sparked a renewed wave of wild online rumours regarding the 2024 murder attempt.
Trump is shown in the side-profile photo sporting his trademark MAGA hat, revealing his right ear, which was either partially or completely wounded by a bullet during the assault.
Social media users saw right away that there didn’t seem to be any obvious injuries to the ear.
One person on X asked, “Isn’t this the ear that apparently took a bullet?” while another joked, “Trump should forget the Nobel Peace Prize and go for the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for naturally regrowing an ear. It’s never been done before.”
Another user added, “That photo from the situation room just shows the miraculous healing to Trump’s ear.”
Many, however, have vehemently disagreed with the notion that the incident was staged, pointing to the tumultuous outdoor environment, the thousands of witnesses, and the dozens of cameras that captured the action.
One commenter wrote, “How exactly was it faked in an outdoor setting with thousands of witnesses and dozens of cameras? One of those cameras even caught the bullet in mid-air.”
Official sources have confirmed the injury was real. The FBI stated, “What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle.”
Trump posted a letter from Texas Congressman Ronny Jackson, a former White House physician, revealing the extent of the injuries just one week after the shooting.
Jackson described a “2 cm-wide gunshot wound in the right ear from a high-powered rifle,” noting “initially significant bleeding, followed by marked swelling of the entire upper ear.” According to Jackson, “The swelling has since resolved, and the wound is beginning to granulate and heal properly. Given the broad and blunt nature of the wound itself, no sutures were required.”
Jackson also criticized FBI Director Christopher Wray’s suggestion that the injury might have been caused by shrapnel, calling it “absolutely irresponsible” and posting on X: “IT WAS A BULLET — I’VE SEEN THE WOUND! PATHETIC!!!”
The president has spoken openly about how the attack continues to affect him. “I get that throbbing feeling every once in a while,” Trump told reporters on June 27 while discussing threats to his life, according to USA Today.
At a rally just before his inauguration, Trump said, “I still have that throbbing feeling in my ear.” He later referenced the discomfort again during a Fox News interview last month, while discussing two other foiled assassination attempts in 2024.
Speaking about the risks of his job, Trump said, “This is a dangerous business. What I do is a dangerous business.”
