Sixteen-year-old Aidan Zingg died following a crash during a race at Mammoth Mountain Motocross. Contrary to initial reports of a mid-air collision, Zingg went down in a corner and was hit by several bikes before the race was red-flagged. He remained unconscious on the track for two laps before officials reached him. The tragedy unfolded in a matter of moments.
Zingg was a rising star with Monster Energy Team Green Kawasaki and had recently inked a multi-year deal. He also partnered with Fox Racing and had standout wins, including a first-place finish in the Supermini-2 class at Loretta Lynn’s Vault. His career was just taking off, and his potential was undeniable. He was poised to become a household name in motocross.
